Stop motion. An underrated way to create something epic in half a lifetime, that ends up being about a minute long. If you have ever done a stop motion, you understand what I mean. However, this particular project did not take an entire lifetime, but it was close.
You also learn how much of a perfectionist you are when you create a stop motion. The way a stop motion is created (for those of you in the dark) is by taking multiple pictures and putting them together in order to create a moving object. So you move and object about a centimeter, and take a picture, move another centimeter and take a picture, etc. And put it together and you can make a stuffed animal take a step. (with 50-100 pictures)
Anyway, this is a stop motion of crayons. I am a crayon enthusiast/snob. So I put crayons to the song Colored People by DC Talk. The main focus of the song is to show the beauty of diverse skin tones. I chose to use crayons for the simple message they would be able to represent.
Simple, yet powerful.
Design. Discover. Create.
AMB
Ps. the best crayons are Crayola's construction paper crayons, which are no longer made :(
